Why You need a Wii Mod-Chip?
Let's take one of the staff members here at DE as an example we shall call him Mr X. Mr X has 3 children and owns a Nintendo Wii. Mr X's children (as lovely as they are) can’t help but put dirty sticky fingers all over the Wii games as well as leave them out of the boxes and happily run over them with toy cars. Children are efficient DVD destroying machines because of this Mr X got fed up of buying games and wasting his money - one mod chip later and the children can now destroy as many backups as they like.

WARNING: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR Wii TO 4.2 Firmware

4.2 firmware is blocking region free support - backups from the same region as your console are still ok but imports will no longer work.  So if you like playing games from another region... DO NOT UPDATE until updates are released from the chip manufacturers.
