It is fairly straightforward and can be done in seconds.

First of all power up the DSi console.

Select Settings from the main menu.

Look at the right hand top edge of the DSi screen, this will display some text such as “VER 1.x”

If the screen shows VER 1.4 then you have the update that stopped some flash cards working.

As far as we are aware DSI consoles firmware update can’t be reversed or downgraded.
