What DS card for the new DSi XL?
Mar 3rd
In the last few months we have noticed a lot of emails and phone calls from customers asking what DS card to buy for the new DSI XL console. We have (by looking through server logs) noticed customers searching for DSi XL flashcards on our site, and why not we! after all we are UK DS card experts.
As far as we know all DSi flashcards have been tested and found working on the Japanese version of the DSi XL which at the moment runs on version 1.4 firmware. So this should make the DSi cards from our UK store compatible with the UK/EU DSi XL when it is released in March.
However we do suggest you purchase a DS card that can have its firmware upgraded, so if Nintendo release new firmware you have a fighting chance to keep using your DS card.

iEdge MIA
Jan 5th
So it’s the new year and still no iEdge available from our store, before you grab a pitchfork and flaming torch and make your way to DE HQ it’s not our fault.
After promising to release it late November then early December we are having some issues figuring out when it will come out, worryingly we couldn’t originally get hold of any unless we purchased a 1000 units upfront (always worrying buying a 1000 units of a product no one has seen/used/reviewed)
So we play the waiting game – Sorry!

DSi Firmware 1.5 Do Not Update
Jan 5th
There are some rumours on various forums that the big N is rolling out firmware 1.5 – now we all know what happened when 1.4 hit so make sure you decline any updates for now.
Nintendo has rolled out a new firmware revision for their latest incarnation of their line of Nintendo DS portable video gaming consoles. It seems v1.5 of their firmware blocks flashcards again which means you can either turn on off the Wifi or wait for a fix. Not is much known about other enhancements other then the anti-flashcard fix
“Yes, we are the first evidence of the release of a new firmware for the DSi (1.5) which seems to block all the flashcards are currently for sale: waiting for updates from our entire staff’s advice is to not upgrade and wait to be understood whether and how to get around the obstacle and continue to use the latest Nintendo handheld with flashcards in our possession.”
So as always do not update your DSi or your flash card will not work.

Featured DSi Card – M3i Zero
Nov 27th
The M3i Zero Adapter is an amazing product for those who want to download homemade games, watch movies and listen music from a PC to a NDS. You can use your PC and normal SD/TF Card Reader to transfer your movie & music files to SD/TF card.
Why is the M3i Zero better then other cards?
The M3i Zero is just like most other DS Flash cards. In fact its features are almost the same as the Supercard DSONEi. It plays homebrew, loads cheats for games, and plays MP3s from inside the menu system. Don’t forget the M3i Zero and Supercard DSONEi have the RTS (Real Time Save) system, which allow you to save your games at any time! The biggest selling point of these cards is that they are 100% upgradable. There are two types of upgradability, one type is software on the micro sd card which every card can upgrade. The other is the actual firmware on the flash card itself. Why would you ever need to upgrade this? Good question the DSi has firmware you can upgrade this means that Nintendo can try and block these devices from running with a software update.
Quite a bit of our day is talking to customers about what DS card to get after sending them to our guide the answer is often the Supercard DSONEi or M3i Zero. While these two cards are currently the best DSi compatible flash cards both have super features and solid build but the M3i has additional features lacking in the Supercard DSONEi, these are:
- Advanced Sakura Operating System
- More language choices
- Built in media player and PDA
I personally use a Supercard DSONEi and love it but I know some people like the language options as well as the Sakura OS.

IPlayer – DS Video Player
Oct 1st
The new iPlayer – A media player for the DS, DSLite and DSi which plays media files directly without having to convert them first.
Because of its hardware limitations, the Nintendo DS has never really been a great platform for watching videos. But the new iPlayer could change that. Like with all the other flashcarts available for the DS the iPlayer is able to load “homebrew software” though the makers claim it will NOT be able to load backup ROMs.
What it will be able to do though is natively play video files without having to convert them to a DS-friendly format first, thanks to a built-in decoding chip. So you’ll be able to load AVI, RMVB, RM, FLV, ASF, MPG, MOV, WMV, DivX, or XviD video files onto a microSD card and play them natively off your DS.
If out of stock please call and pre order as the number of enquiries we have about this product means we won’t have stock for long as they go so quick.

Supercard Fix For 1.4 DSi Firmware
Aug 24th
Popular DS community website GBATemp reports the Supercard is up and running with version 1.4.
The Supercard team has released an update which let you use the DSonei on a DSi with 1.4 firmware
The fix uses the header of the game ‘Star Wars: Lethal Alliance’, so the icon also has changed. You can update the DSonei with the included USB firmware writer, which takes about 8 minutes.

DSi Compatible Cards
Aug 19th
As you know version 1.4 firmware for the DSi stopped a few cards working for now.
Since then the teams behind the cards have been hard at work and the good news is the EZVi and Acekard2i with updated software will work with version 1.4.
So we recommend If you are planning to update your DSi to 1.4, or if you purchased your DSi after 30th July 2009, please only consider the EZVi and Acekard2i for now.
You can grab the latest firmware from here:

New DSi 1.4 Firmware Update Blocks DSi Flashcarts.
Jul 31st
Nintendo has just released a firmware update for the Nintendo DSi, the firmware is currently available in Japan, Europe, and Australia. The new firmware will frustrate homebrewers as it blocks all DSi-compatible flashcarts such as Acekard 2i and DSTTi etc.
A couple of flashcarts such as the M3i Zero and the very popular Supercard DSONEi were designed for this scenario and support their own firmware updates via USB dongles.
Obviously DSi owners can choose not to download or install the 1.4 update and still use flashcarts
Other changes with the 1.4 firmware update include support for uploading DSi photos directly to popular social networking site Facebook and faster image display speeds with DSi Camera.
It would be rude of us to not inform customers of this change…
